Fort Dodge Choral Society to perform Dec. 16

The sounds of Christmas will fill the air as Fort Dodge Choral Society presents “A Living Tradition” at 3 p.m. Dec. 16 at Grace Lutheran Church, 211 S. Ninth St.

Conductor Bruce Perry has chosen a program of sparkling arrangements familiar Christmas carols. “Silent Night”; “Still, Still, Still”; “Breath of Heaven”; “We Three Kings”; and a host of beautiful melodies will celebrate the living tradition of Christmas carols.

Pianist and organist Jeanette Hinkeldey, flautist Jennifer Littlejohn, and Grace Lutheran bell ringers will join forces with the choir to create a wonderful celebration of Christmas.

Audience members are invited to come to a 2 p.m. reception preceding the concert to enjoy treats and the singing of favorite carols.

Following the concert, located in the heart of the Oak Hill Historic District, audience members can join in the fun of Caroling Through History for a walking tour of the historic neighborhood featuring carolers, tours of historic homes, and the opportunity to learn about the living tradition of one of Fort Dodge’s grand neighborhoods.
