CPPC free family bowling night Wednesday

Community Partnership for Protecting Children is holding a free family bowling night Wednesday at Family Bowling Center, 3599 Fifth Ave. S. Lanes are first come, first serve at 4:45 p.m., 5:45 p.m. or 6:45 p.m. Pizza and a non-alcoholic drink and one game of bowling with shoe rental will be provided. Those renting shoes are reminded to wear socks. Young children may wear clean/dry tennis shoes if bowling shoes are unavailable. For more information, call or text Meredith at 712-298-6292.

Make It OK Day walk and event is Thursday

The Make It OK Day walk and event is 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the City Square. There will be many local mental health resources to show your support for reducing the mental health stigma. Wear green and take a stroll around the Square to show your support for mental health. There will be food trucks available for lunch. Everyone is welcome. Parent support group meeting Wednesday

Family Foundations, Play and Learn Center and the Webster County Health Department are holding a Parent Support Group meeting from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Matt Cosgrove River’s Edge Discovery Center, 20 N. First St.

Noon Lions steak fry Thursday

Fort Dodge Noon Lions Club 80th annual steak fry dinner is 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Lion’s Den, 731 Exposition Drive. Tickets are $25 and may be purchased from any Fort Dodge Noon Lion or at the door as long as tickets last. Dine in and carryout will be available. There will be no alcohol sales.

National Kids to Parks Day is May 17

WEBSTER CITY — Kendall Young Library will be hosting children’s events in May Family Summer Kick-off Carnival — Kendall Young Library will be celebrating the coming of summer with a carnival on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This fun family event will offer games, face painting, a balloon artist and Tim Read (illustrator) drawing caricatures.
