Livermore UWF turkey dinner is Thursday

LIVERMORE — The Livermore United Women in Faith will hold a turkey dinner from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the Livermore United Methodist Church basement, Livermore. The menu is turkey, dressing, corn, mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls, dessert, water and coffee, for a freewill donation. The dinner will be served dine in or carryout.

Elderbridge Agency on Aging and Upper Des Moines Opportunity have partnered for “Santa for Seniors.” 2025 has been a difficult year for all of us, with things ever-changing. As the holiday season approache, it has brought even more isolation to our seniors. Seniors in our community need our support, now more than ever. In some cases, senior in our area are living on a very limited income and may not be with their family at Christmas. Holiday Market vendor and food fair is Nov. 28 and 29

The first annual Holiday Market vendor and food fair is noon to 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Nov. 29, at the Pavilion Sports Complex, 260 S. 27th St. There will be a variety of vendors, food and drinks, live music and entertainment. Santa’s grand arrival will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday with a Santa meet and greet from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will also be a food drive for The Lord’s Cupboard. Food and cash donations will be accepted. Admission to the market is free.

Eagle Grove High School fall play today and Sunday

EAGLE GROVE — Eagle Grove High School is holding its fall play, “Loco-Motion Commotion: Dr. Gorilla & Me,” at 7 p.m. today and 2 p.m. Sunday in the Eagle Grove High School Auditorium, Eagle Grove. Advance tickets are $5 and may be purchased at Wagner Drug, Eagle Grove, or the Eagle Grove High School office. Tickets will be available at the door for $7. The Catholic Daughters Court 216 New Member Initiation Mass will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 2501 Sixth Ave. N. (NOTE: change of location for Mass). Mass will be followed by dinner at the Corpus Christi Center, 405 N. Eighth St., a special presentation of Veterans Honor Quilts to honor our Veterans, and a short CDA business meeting.
