The Hawkeye Community Theatre, 521 N. 12th St., presents “A Fairy Tale Christmas Carol” at 7 p.m. Dec. 3 through 6, and at 2 p.m. Dec. 6, at the theater. Tickets are $10 per person and are available online or at the door.
The Fort Dodge Public Library will host Lessons of the Holocaust, a presentation by educator Brad Wilkening, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 8 This event is free and open to the public, and everyone is welcome to attend. The Iowa Central Community College Music Department presents “Sounds of the Season” holiday concerts are at 7 p.m. Dec. 4 and Dec. 5 at the Decker Auditorium, Center for the Performing Arts, on the ICCC campus, 1 Triton Circle. The concert is free.

LAURENS — The Laurens United Methodist Women will hold their annual holiday event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the Laurens United Methodist Church. Booths will feature homemade baked goods, frozen casseroles including ham balls, assortment of fancy nuts, a variety of gently used items and a cookie walk. A freewill offering lasagna lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
