FDPL children’s Summer Adventures Tuesday

Join the Fort Dodge Public Library, 424 Central Ave., from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday for a fun and educational open house featuring Spock’s Sanctuary, a Des Moines-based rescue organization dedicated to reptiles and amphibians. The sanctuary will be bringing a variety of animals for you to meet up close, including animals such as snakes, geckos, large lizards, and turtles. You’ll also have the chance to explore fascinating animal artifacts like a tortoise shell, shed snake skin, or even some cockroaches. This come-and-go event is a wonderful opportunity to discover more about these unique creatures. It will take place over 90 minutes in the library’s main space, so drop by whenever it works for you and your family. All ages are welcome. All children attending must be accompanied by an adult. Adventures are sponsored by the Friends of the Library and are free of charge. For more information about Adventures and the library’s children’s summer reading program, visit the library website at www.fortdodgeiowa.org/library or call the library at 515-573-8167, ext. 6242.
