KYL April teen events announced

WEBSTER CITY – Kendall Young Library will be having variety of teen events throughout April.

Teen Lounge – Patrons in sixth through 12th grade are invited on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Join us weekly for video games, snacks, crafts, board games and more.

The Teen Area STEM Cart Activity for April is mousetrap cars. All materials will be provided to build and modify your own invention. Teens are invited to stop at the reference desk anytime throughout the month to get more information. This activity will be open all month and prizes are awarded to the farthest traveling car.

Homeschool STEM Lab – Students will have time to work on a mousetrap car from 1 to 3 p.m. April 18 where they can build/modify their monthly STEM Challenge. This is designed for youth sixth through 12th grade and will be held the third Thursday each month.

Community Lego Build – Students are invited to participate in building the Lego Titanic. This project is available during all open hours of the library and it located in the Young Adult Area.

As always, the Teen area located in the Kendall Young Library offers a variety of board games, community Lego build, Chromebooks, video games, books and activities that are always available.
