Gwen Anderson

Gwen Anderson, of Fort Dodge, will celebrate her 85th birthday with an open house from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 15 at Grace Lutheran Church, 211 S. Ninth St. In lieu of gifts, personal care products or donations of money will be accepted for The Lord’s Cupboard.

Her family includes her husband, Merlin; Julie and Darin Eich, of Urbandale; and her bonus family of Jim and Marva Anderson, of Humboldt; and Lori and Steve Cherry. of Prescott Valley, Arizona. Her son, Bob, is deceased.

She was born on March 17, 1941. She graduated from Harcourt High School and Iowa Community College in Fort Dodge. She was a manager of an insurance office and a video store and later worked in Wiewel Drug, retiring from Hy-Vee Drug Town.
