His family includes wife of 66 years, Phyllis; Ken and Annie Skinner, of Humboldt; and Kurt and Linda Skinner, of Stockton, California. He has two grandsons.
Skinner was born on Jan. 27, 1931, in Goldfield. He graduated from Goldfield High School in 1948. He worked for the U.S. Post Office for 38 years, retiring in 1993.
