PALMER — Larry Siefken, of Palmer, will celebrate his 90th birthday on Wednesday.

His family includes his wife, Dorothy; Sheila and Chuck Flowers, Oklahoma; Susan and Michael Hoftizer, Minnesota; Sidney and Brenda Siefken, Colorado; and Shannon and Barbara Siefken, Minnesota. He has 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was born Jan. 14, 1936. He attended and graduated from Palmer High School in 1954. He attended Iowa State University and served two years in the Army as a medic in Korea. He has lived and farmed in the Palmer area his entire life.
