Mary Catherine Condon

PRAIRIE VILLAGE, Kansas — Mary Catherine Condon, of Prairie Village, Kansas, formerly of Fort Dodge, celebrated her 90th birthday on Dec. 12, 2025.

Her family includes Colleen and Bob Wittler, Tom and Jane Condon, Mary Anne and Dan Hammond, Pat and Carol Condon, Cathy and Ted Colburn, Michael and Carrie Condon, and Matt and Carrie Condon. She has 24 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Mary Catherine McCarville was born in Fort Dodge on Dec. 12, 1935, and the Fort Dodge area was home to her for most of her life. She grew up near Moorland, and after marrying Eddie Condon in 1957, she spent the next 58 years with “her Eddie,” raising their children on their farm near Barnum, and eventually moving into Fort Dodge, where Eddie passed away in 2015. She has lived in Kansas City for a few years now, but still reads the Messenger every day.
