Gene and Jan Nelson

Gene and Jan Nelson of Fort Dodge, formerly of Manson will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on November 22.

Their family includes Debbie and David George, Gowrie; Mark and Kim Nelson, Utah; Cathy and Terry Schoon, Fort Dodge; and Michael and Minta Nelson, Arizona. They have eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Janice (Jan) Steinberg and Gene Nelson were married Nov. 22, 1956, at the United Methodist Church in Buffalo Center. He taught Social Studies at Manson Northwest Webster School for 32 years and she was a dental assistant for Dr. Larry Swensen for 21 years in Manson. Both are retired.
