The Jaguars (2-1 overall) combined for 417 yards of total offense in a 54-6 victory over South Hamilton (0-3). Quarterback Mason Bahr completed only five passes, but they were all for touchdowns. FOREST CITY — Algona got back into the win column on Friday night. The Bulldogs (2-1 overall) cruised past Forest City (0-3), 60-16. Nathan Manske had a strong game on the ground and through the air for the Bulldogs. Manske was 10-for-15 passing for 143 yards and a touchdown. He ran for 115 yards on 12 totes for four TDs. Will Weichert had 14 carries for 69 yards and two scores in the win. Tate Garman caught six balls for 147 yards and one touchdown.
MANSON — The Manson Northwest Webster football team broke into the win column on Friday night. The Cougars (1-2 overall) handed Ogden (2-1) their first loss of the season, 15-0. Coy Moline had a hand in two touchdowns for the Cougars. Moline had a six-yard touchdown run and threw a 41-yard touchdown strike to Charlie Sturgis. Moline finished the night with 20 carries for 155 yards. Sturgis had five carries for 24 and two catches for 50 yards. Jack Hoeppner led the defense with seven tackles, three for loss.
