COVID restrictions set at Holy Trinity

Activities at Holy Trinity Parish in Fort Dodge are subject to some new rules issued by Bishop Walker Nickless, leader of the Diocese of Sioux City, and the COVID-19 Task Force. There will be no change to the current attendance and scheduling protocols for all sacraments, weekend and weekday Masses, sacrament of reconciliation, weddings, funerals and adoration. There will be limits on singing, however. The use of cantors is now prohibited with the exceptions of liturgies on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. CDA to meet Thursday

Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court 216, will hold its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Corpus Christi Center, 402 N. Trunk-or-Treat planned at Good Shepherd

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1436 21st Ave. N., will hold Trunk-or-Treat on Oct. 25. The festivities will begin at 3 p.m. with a pumpkin decorating contest. Participants should bring their own pumpkins. At 5 p.m. participants will be able to go trick-or-treating by going to the cars in the parking lots that have trunks full of treats. There will also be a cookie decorating contest. Hot dogs and chips will be served.

Lord’s portion dinner in Lehigh Oct. 24

LEHIGH — Lehigh Methodist Church is holding a Lord’s portion dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 24 at the church. The meal will be drive up or carry out only. The menu is scalloped potatoes with ham, coleslaw or broccoli salad, fresh baked dinner roll and pie. Cost is $8 per meal with children under 5 free.

Lutheran Women’s Missionary League fall rally set for Sept. 26

The Fort Dodge Zone Lutheran Women’s Missionary League will hold its fall rally at 9 a.m. Sept. 26 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1023 S. 27th St. The hosts include Prince of Peace and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. A Bible study will be presented by Rev. Kendall Meyer from St. Paul Lutheran Church. The ingathering will be gift cards for Iowa District East Disaster Fund from the derecho.
