Humboldt County man sent to federal prison on gun charge A Bode man is headed to federal prison for eight years after pleading guilty to a gun crime, prosecutors reported. Lawrence Moore, 37, pleaded guilty in April to possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Iowa. Drug, weapon charges send man to prison for 25 years A Dakota City man has been sentenced to 25 years in federal prison for drug and weapons charges, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Iowa. Woman charged in baseball bat attack A Fort Dodge woman has been charged with breaking into an apartment and attacking the man who lives there with a baseball bat, according to court records. Jasmine Nichole May Wever, 22, was arrested by Fort Dodge police and charged with first degree burglary, going armed with intent and violation of probation.
