Priest gets probation in Kossuth County theft case ALGONA — A Roman Catholic priest has been sentenced to probation and ordered to pay fines and restitution after pleading guilty in a case in which he was charged with stealing about $70,000 from two Kossuth County churches. The Rev. Steven McLoud, of Fort Dodge, pleaded guilty to third degree fraudulent practice, according to court records. On Monday, Kossuth County District Court Judge Adam M. Man arrested for breaking into apartment A man was arrested after a deputy sheriff saw him abandon a vehicle and force his way into a Fort Dodge apartment very early Tuesday morning. Gregory J. Badger man sentenced in child porn case A Badger man will spend four years in federal prison after pleading guilty to a child pornography charge. Kenneth Brown, 60, was sentenced on Friday following a July 22 guilty plea to one count of possession of child pornography, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Iowa. Prosecutors said that between early May 2023 and April 3, 2024, Brown possessed child pornography.
