Badger man sentenced in child porn case A Badger man will spend four years in federal prison after pleading guilty to a child pornography charge. Kenneth Brown, 60, was sentenced on Friday following a July 22 guilty plea to one count of possession of child pornography, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Iowa. Prosecutors said that between early May 2023 and April 3, 2024, Brown possessed child pornography. Priest enters plea in theft case ALGONA — A Roman Catholic priest accused of stealing about $70,000 from two churches in Kossuth County has pleaded guilty to a reduced charge, according to court records. The Rev. Steven McLoud, of Fort Dodge, pleaded guilty to third degree fraudulent practice, court records indicate. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for Monday.
