Weather observers wanted
The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship and the National Weather Service are seeking volunteers to collect rain, hail and snowfall measurements.
The volunteers will become part of the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network.
To be a volunteer, all that is needed is an interest in the weather, a 4-inch diameter rain gauge, a suitable location for setting up the gauge and access to the internet.
