Man seriously injured in Lehigh motorcycle crash

Identity not released Sunday

LEHIGH — One man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash Sunday night in Lehigh, according to Sgt. Wes Niles, of the Iowa State Patrol.

The crash was reported at about 5:20 p.m. near 425 E. Hill St.

According to Niles, the man was traveling south on a motorcycle when he lost control and crashed into the west ditch.

He was transported by ambulance to UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center.

Niles said it was likely that the man was going to be airlifted to a Des Moines hospital from there.

The man’s name was not released Sunday night.

The Iowa State Patrol, Webster County sheriff’s deputies, Lehigh Volunteer Fire Department, Dayton Rescue, and UnityPoint Health were on scene.
