MINNEAPOLIS – The battle for the Floyd of Rosedale has serious Big Ten Conference implications this season.

No. 15 Iowa returns from a bye to take on Minnesota here Saturday. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. with the game airing live on FS1.

The Hawkeyes (5-1 overall, 2-1 in league) bounced back from a tough loss to Ohio State by throttling Washington on the road two weeks ago, 41-24. They did that with new starting quarterback Jeremy Hecklinski, who replaced an injury Hank Brown.

Hecklinski is expected to resume that role this week. He has completed just under 63 percent of his throws for 410 yards with four touchdowns and one pick.

"You can build a case for both players, because they're both really good guys, really good quarterbacks," Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz said. "This given point, we feel it's the best thing to move forward (with Hecklinski). But we really have confidence that we have two good players there."

Having a healthy Kamari Moulton helped, as the running back leads Iowa with 519 yards and four scores. DJ Vonnahme also returned to the offense, as he is one of three players, along with Tony Diaz and Reece Vander Zee, who have over 200 receiving yards.

Minnesota (4-2, 2-1) had its three-game win streak snapped by Purdue, 41-13. The Golden Gophers are also coming off a bye and own conference wins over both Michigan and Washington.

Drake Lindsay has 1,335 passing yards and nine touchdowns, with Javon Tracy catching 32 passes for almost 400 yards. TJ Thomas leads the ground attack with 317 yards and a touchdown.

Minnesota leads the all-time series, 63-54-2; however, Iowa has won 10 of the last 11 meetings.

Starting at /week.
