BREAKING: A Fort Dodge man has been charged with making threats of terrorism.

Daniel Paivarinta, 27, was charged in Webster County District Court this morning with threats of terrorism, a Class D felony.

According to court documents, between the dates of April 30 through May 1, Paivarinta threatened to commit terrorism or made threats intended to cause fear of imminent acts of terrorism within the city limits of Fort Dodge.

According to these court documents, Paivarinta was identified by witness, the crime was observed by officers, and officers had physical evidence of the threats.

Paivarinta appeared in court this morning and is currently being held on $100,000 cash only bond.

According to the Webster County Attorney’s Office, the investigation is ongoing.
