Defending Class 5A state champion Waukee Northwest is back in the title game following a 4-0 victory over Dallas Center-Grimes here Wednesday at Rogers Park.
Sophia Schlader pitched a two-hitter, striking out six and helping her own cause with a home run.
The Wolves will face Ankeny Centennial Friday night at 7:30 p.m. for the title.
Schlader was 2-for-3, as Meredith Thomsen also had two hits and drove in a run. Kenley Sanger added an RBI, with Alayna Schulte stealing three bases.
For the Mustangs, Addison Lyddon and Addie Abens each had a hit.
This was the second meeting in the state tournament for the two squads as Waukee Northwest won the second round game, 4-1.
