Saturday will feature a full day of regional tournament basketball action inside Hodges Fieldhouse, as both Iowa Central teams compete. STORM LAKE — For the first time as Southeast Valley, the Jaguars will compete for a spot in the Class 2A state tournament. Southeast Valley (21-1 overall) takes on second-ranked Unity Christian (21-2) here Saturday night at 8 p.m. for the Class 2A, Substate 1 title. BRANDENTON, Fla. — Former Iowa Central baseball standout John Klein tossed two perfect innings for the Minnesota Twins in spring training action on Thursday. Klein was called into the game vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates in the sixth inning, sitting down Billy Cook, Jhostnyxon Garcia and Dominic Fletcher in order. The Pirates went on to win the game, 6-4.
