On the heels of an 18-game win streak, the Iowa Central softball team has landed in the NJCAA Div. II Top-25 this week. The Tritons (21-3 overall) are ranked 21st, as they are one of three new teams to the rankings along with No. 18 Northwest Mississippi and No. 25 Kansas City-Kansas. Pearl River is No. 1 once again followed by Murray State, Copiah-Lincoln, ICCAC rival Kirkwood and Rock Valley. Other ranked ICCAC schools include ninth-rated Des Moines Area and No. 22 North Iowa Area. Iowa Central is at Iowa Lakes on Wednesday.

U’Nitee Brown, Angus Alberts and Haydn Stockdale all earned national invites in throwing events, with Brown and Alberts qualifying in the shot put.
