DES MOINES -- The Fort Dodge swim team came away with seven victories in a triangular on Tuesday night.
The Dodgers beat Ottumwa (111-54) and lost to Des Moines Roosevelt (94-76).
"It’s hard with a three team dual scoring wise," said Fort Dodge head coach Ashley Beaumont. "My girls swam great and we won a lot of events."
The Dodger 200 medley relay team of Kylen Lubensky, Karlee Pearson, Clara Brown and Makayla Knox, captured gold in a time of 2:10.58 to start the evening.
"We haven't had a meet in a while, but we have been working hard in practice," Beaumont said. "With no meets (in over a week), we've had the chance to drill a little bit."
The same quartet finished the night the way they started it, with a victory in the 400 freestyle relay, touching the wall in 4:20.38.
Both Lubensky and Pearson were double winners, while Knox was a champion and a runner up.
Lubensky won the 100 butterfly (1:08.28) and was champion in the 100 backstroke (1:10.92).
Pearson was crowned winner of the 50 freestyle (27.55) and the 100 backstroke (1:10.92).
Knox was first in the 200 freestyle (2:21.29) and second in the 500 freestyle (6:18.94).
"Makayla had a great 200 freestyle and Kylen had a great backstroke," Beaumont said. "Nevaeh (Robinson) had about a 30 second drop in the 500."
The Dodgers are back in action on Thursday for Senior Night in the Dodger pool against Carroll and Spencer.
