The Scarlets (5-14) set up a fifth set by winning 25-16. The Dodgers pulled out the match win with an 18-16 triumph, their second straight victory.
"We had a lot of ups and downs throughout the game when it came to momentum," said Fort Dodge head coach Beth Wilder. "We showed some grit and battled through.
"Getting another five set win is huge for us. I'm very proud of this team."
Adyson Friesth led the Dodgers with 11 kills, while Grace Nichols had 10. Holly Schaffer had six and Brogan Miller added five.
Hope Alstott had 12 digs, Ellie Doster had nine, Rylee O'Brion checked in with eight and Schaffer had five.

From the service line Friesth and Schaffer had five aces, while Doster had two.
"Charlotte (DeJong) went down with an ankle injury in warm ups, which was a big bummer," Wilder said. "Peyton really stepped up as well as Alyssa (Waldera) and Grace, who had some line up changes at the last minute.
"It was an all around great team effort."
The Dodgers are back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Des Moines Lincoln.
