EAGLE GROVE -- Algona placed three runners inside the Top-10 and placed third at the Eagle Grove Invitational on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs (78) finished third and Webster City (123) was fourth. Garner-Hayfield-Ventura (51) was the champion and North Iowa (76) was the runner up.
Brooks Morgan (18:19.26) and Axton Hood (18:37.44) were sixth and seventh for Algona. Landon Becker (18:50.66) was 10th and Grandon Dahlhauser (19:29.24) was 16th. Caden Harms was the final counter for the Lynx (20:41.59) in 40th.
Webster City's top finisher was Daniel Murillo-Delfin (19:08.09) in 12th place. Also running for the Lynx was Enrique Brito Ceto (20:31.04) in 38th, Grayson Henderson (42nd in 20:44.48), Ben Barner (52nd in 21:17.81) and Braxton Plain (60th in 21:39.34).
Humboldt's Henry Kramer grabbed a Top-10 showing in eighth place and Clarion-Goldfield-Dow's Carson Gump (18:47.12) was ninth.
Eagle Grove's top-finisher was Asarel Castro (19:36.81) in 19th. Bishop Garrigan's Samuel Foix (19:42.66) was 21st.
Also for Humboldt was Ike Fowler (37th in 20:30.83), Bentley Rodgers (43rd in 20:46.07), Callen Mathis (21:42.94) and Miles Zeman (71st in 22:33.01).
