SAYDEL – The Fort Dodge girls tennis team won its third consecutive match here Thursday, downing Saydel, 8-3.
Teagan Loots, Brooklyn Kaloupek, Leah Myer and Charlotte Breeser picked up wins in singles, as the Dodgers secured the dual by taking four of five doubles matches.
Loots and Myer, Evie Piton and Paisley Smith, Breeser and Calliegh Zimmermann, and Daphne Groff and Madi Le were winners.
"It was a great team effort," FDSH head coach Julie Astor said. "We have been working on movement, moving our opponents and being the aggressor.
"All the girls did an amazing job of applying these to their game."
Freshmen Groff and Le teamed up for the first time to post an 8-1 win at No. 5 doubles.
Fort Dodge closes out the regular season on Monday when they host Southeast Polk for Senior Night. The Dodgers will honor seniors Mia Carpenter, Taylor Cote, Kaloupek, Loots, Taylor Martin, Evah Nostrom, Bisma Ramzan, Lily Sheeder and Zimmermann.
