The fourth-ranked Iowa Central volleyball team extended its win streak to four here Wednesday night with a sweep over Southeastern.

Scores were 25-19, 25-12 and 25-17.

"We started a little slow in the first set, and essentially matched energy from the other side of the net," ICCC head coach Sara Horn said. "We picked things up in the second set and settled in and played much better."

"We had a great night defensively, with four girls in double-digit digs and five girls with at least two blocks. We've been serving well as of late, and I thought we also had another match of keeping them out of system and dropping in some aces."

Cooper Griffin tallied a match-high 11 kills, while Kampbell Bryte added nine and Clara Newton finished with eight. Annie Elbert recorded 28 assists, 11 digs and two aces.

Both Fort Dodge Senior High graduate Meah McCaleb and Devon Rodewald each contributed 12 digs. Abby Jensen added 10 digs, Madison Rogers had five digs and five block assists, Newton and Rylyn McCarty each had four block assists, and Rodewald recorded three aces.

"We start a really busy stretch of matches here now on the road with a bunch of ranked teams," Horn said. "We need to keep getting better every day while also doing the things we need to do to take care of our bodies to be able to compete hard in every match.

"I like the progress we've been making; we'll keep doing what we're doing as we finish out this busy month."

Iowa Central heads to the Kansas City Kansas Tournament beginning Friday. They will face Labette and the host, No. 9 Kansas City-Kansas, before taking on Fort Scott and second-rated Cowley County on Saturday.
