The third-ranked Iowa Central volleyball team was pushed to the limits here Thursday night.

After sweeping Northwest Iowa on Wednesday, the Tritons survived a five-setter with No. 11 Mesa inside Hodges Fieldhouse.

Scores were 21-25, 25-23, 25-23, 24-26 and 15-6.

Kampbell Bryte had 17 kills and Grace Farnsworth added 14 to lead Iowa Central (9-0 overall), as Rylyn McCarty finished with 26 assists and eight kills with four block assists. Meya Wingert had 21 assists and 11 digs in three sets played.

Fort Dodge Senior High graduate Meah McCaleb finished with 22 digs, seven assists and an ace, as Abby Jensen tallied 25 digs, four assists, three kills and two aces.

"It was great to get another matchup with a Top-15 ranked team,” ICCC head coach Sara Horn said. “Mesa brings a different style of play and they really challenged us on both sides of the ball.

“I thought Kampbell had a really great game for us, and our other pins, Grace and Addi, brought a lot of good things as well, especially with us missing Cooper (Griffin). Our back court once again played lights out with Abby having a huge defensive game, as well as Kalyn passing nails all night."

Annie Elbert, Devon Rodewald and Kaylyn Mills all had double-digit totals for digs, as Madison Rogers added nine kills.

The Tritons are now 3-0 in five-set matches on the year

Iowa Central will play Allen County at 12:45 p.m. and second-ranked Cowley County at 6 p.m. on Friday before finishing off the Triton Invitational Saturday vs. Madison at 4 p.m.
