CRESTON – The Iowa Central golf team had a dominating showing here at the War at the Moor event.

Along with sweeping the team titles for both men and women, the Tritons captured gold in both individual races from Crestmoor Golf Club.

"A great start to the year," ICCC head coach Kris Graewin said. "We were able to have three of our ladies finish at the top of the leaderboard. On the men's side, we really showed how deep and talented our roster is after the B team took home the win.

"We preach competition every day, and this is what we talk about. It doesn't matter what spot in the lineup a person plays; we want them to believe they're going to win."

Charlie Dumas led the Iowa Central men's B lineup to a top finish, as he fired a 7-under round of 65. The Tritons shot a 288, finishing 11 strokes ahead of Southwestern and 14 better than the other Iowa Central lineup.

Will Turner was third with an even-par 72, as Liam Dravland and Pene Welton tied for fifth. Harvey Allen finished tied for ninth.

Azul Orantes shot a 77 to win the women's title by three strokes over Iowa Central teammate Syeda Laiba Shah, as Okira Quintero finished third for a clean sweep of the leaderboard.

The Triton men are at the NJCAA National Preview on Tuesday from Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth, Ind. The women are at Mason City for the NIACC Fall Invitational on Thursday, Sept. 10.
