NEVADA – The St. Edmond girls tennis team scored another dominant victory here Tuesday evening, besting Nevada, 8-1.
Chloe Palmer, Abby Huss and Olivia Andrew all won their singles matches without dropping a point, while Sophia Schlienz and Jade Rock posted 8-2 victories.
The Gaels have now won 25 consecutive North Central Conference matches.
In doubles, Palmer and Huss, along with Schlienz and Andrew, each won by matching scores of 8-1. Rock and Kaci McGonegle added an 8-5 victory in doubles.
"The girls played really well," SEHS head coach Shawn Neverman said. "With Nevada being another (NCC) opponent, I stressed to the girls that they can't take any nights off.
"The girls really locked in and did what they needed to do to get the win."
In junior varsity action, Betsy Gruver and Mary Ella Gruver, Dylan Eslick and Ava Marie Kirby, Lizzy Tiernan and Abby Webster, and Tiernan and Emmersyn Peters were all winners.
Up next for St. Edmond will be Boone on Monday.
