Garrigan extends streak to 24

KINGSLEY -- The streak climbs to 24.

Defending eight-man champion Bishop Garrigan (1-0 overall) cruised to a 49-6 victory over Kingsley-Pierson (0-2) to win their 24th straight regular season contest.

CJ McGregor was the groundhog, running for 126 yards on 13 carries and four touchdowns. McGregor scored on runs of seven, eight, one and six.

Carter Cink had 46 yards and an eight-yard touchdown. Wyatt Schaffer had 26 yards and a score and Titan Troyer had a two-yard touchdown.

Garrigan for 297 yards on 37 carries.

McGregor also led the defense with seven tackles. Madden Miller, Troyer and Karson Kramer had six tackles each.

Michael Joyce had an interception and a fumble recovery. Jack Muller had an interception and Hayden Miller had a fumble recovery.

The Golden Bears will play their home opener next Friday against Riceville.
