The Fort Dodge boys golf team fired a second straight 173 here on Tuesday, earning a dual over Des Moines Lincoln here Tuesday at the Fort Dodge Country Club.
Trace Rial was the medalist, carding a round of 40. The Dodgers had the best nine scores of the meet to win by 33 shots.
Senior Mason Frevert added a 43 for FDSH, Davis Underberg and Cameron Beck each had 45s, Camden Sassman carded a 46, and Kinnick Hemrick a 49.
"Trace had a really nice round and played well," FDSH head coach Nick Vinson said. "We just have a lot of kids that have not found that consistency yet in their games. You can tell they didn't play enough over the summer, which is something we need to figure out.
"Cameron had a nice round, and both Camden and Kinnick did as well."
The Fort Dodge junior varsity picked up a 181-271 triumph, as Holden Doster shot a 39. Lane Hansen followed with a 45, as Ace Grell had a 47.
Trae Krowiorz and Alex Berger each added 50s, with Jake Pingel carding a 55.
"We've still got some kids learning the game of golf from a consistent standpoint," Vinson said. "We don't have a lot of time to get those kinds of things figured out (once the season starts)."
The Dodgers return to action on Thursday when they travel to Des Moines to face both Des Moines Roosevelt and Ottumwa. They follow that up with their first 18-hole event on Friday in Mason City at the Dick Garth Riverhawk Invitational.
"We need to play an 18-hole tournament to see what we are capable of," Vinson said. "It's going to be a challenge, but a challenge that we need to tackle."
