The Fort Dodge girls tennis team scored a dual victory here Tuesday over Des Moines Hoover, 11-0, at Dodger Courts.
Mia Carpenter, Evah Nostrom, Brooklyn Kaloupek, Teagan Loots, Leah Meyer and Lily Sheeder were all singles winners, with all six sweeping their matches for Fort Dodge.
Loots and Sheeder did not drop a game. Kaloupek and Myer lost just one each.
In doubles, freshmen Paisley Smith and Evie Piton won at No. 1 in a super-tiebreak, 6-0, 2-6 (10-4). Izzy Lara and Charlotte Breeser, Ja'Nique Price and Daphne Groff, Calliegh Zimmermann and Taylor Martin, and Onika Acosta and Sydney Loots were all straight-set winners without dropping a game.
"It was a good performance," FDSH head coach Julie Astor said. "Our focus was to come out and finish points. The girls had fun and we were able to give some other girls a chance to gain varsity experience.
"Some were a little nervous, but they buckled down and took care of business."
Fort Dodge is right back in action on Thursday when they head to Norwalk for a triangular with Norwalk and Urbandale.
