SE’s Bartlett picked for all-star series

St. Edmond's Blake Bartlett has been selected to compete alongside some of the best high school baseball players from around the country.
Bartlett, who will be a sophomore this coming fall, was picked for the 2026 Midwest Super Sophomore Games, which will be held from Friday through Sunday at Indiana University.
The roster are filled by invitations only, and include high school talent from Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin.
Teams will play four games in a round-robin format, and players will go through a showcase workout.
Bartlett's offseason baseball schedule will also include appearances at the Spects National and the Perfect Game WWBA Underclass World Championships.
Prep Baseball Report has Bartlett ranked as the No. 1 catcher and No. 6 overall player in the Class of 2029 for the state of Iowa.
Bartlett hit .413 with four home runs, six doubles and two triples for the Gaels this summer, driving in 24 runs and scoring 17 times. He was walked 23 times, recording a .598 on-base percentage and .762 slugging percentage.
Bartlett had a fielding percentage of .850 and went 3-3 on the mound with 49 strikeouts and a 3.74 earned run average.
