Matthew Tesdahl, Jaxon Griffith, Brooks Kuhlmann and Tate Garman were all named unanimous North Central Conference baseball selections by the league this week.
Tesdahl and Griffith helped Webster City share the regular season NCC title with Algona, led by Kuhlmann and Garman. Tesdahl, Griffith and Garman were all seniors this past summer, while Kuhlman was a sophomore.
St. Edmond's had three on the second squad in senior Jack McElroy, sophomore Coltin Fevold and freshman Blake Bartlett. Senior Grant Galles made the third team. Bartlett was the only ninth-grader selected to any of the three honor squads.
McElroy was 3-1 over four NCC starts, striking out 13 in 18-plus innings pitched. Bartlett hit .371 in league action with two homers, four doubles, 11 RBI, eight runs scored and 13 walks in 14 league games.
Fevold had a .317 average, driving in a team-high 17 with two doubles, two triples and a home run.
Galles batted .312 in the NCC, scoring 12 runs while driving in seven with three doubles and four steals.
Braylon Dyvig joined Tesdahl and Griffith on the first team for the Lynx, who also had Carter Mickelson on the second and Kaleb Hansen on the third.
Dyvig led all NCC players in batting average and on-base percentage in league games, while Tesdahl was tops in RBI, pitching wins and strikeouts.
Mickelson tied for the league lead in saves with Garman, who was first in runs scored, doubles and opponents batting average against.
Wes Streit, Dawson Elsbecker and Aiden Engel each made the first squad for the Bulldogs as well alongside Kuhlmann and Garman, with Owen Moe and Levi Walker on the second. Jaxon Eischen was a third-team pick.
Humboldt's Jackson Flaherty, Avyon Sutterfield and Valley Davis were named to the first group, with Chase Flaherty and Chase Hansen on the second.
Dane Clark made the third team.
Sutterfield paced the NCC in hits, Flaherty was tops in singles, and Davis ranked first in home runs, triples, slugging percentage and on-base plus slugging.
