St. Edmond softball team stays undefeated, 12-2
HARCOURT — The eighth-ranked (Class 1A) St. Edmond softball team picked up another run-rule victory, besting Southeast Valley here Tuesday night, 12-2 in four innings.
Faith Shirbroun and Myrah Lemon both hit home runs for the Gaels (6-0 overall), as Shirbroun added a double.
Shirbroun finished 2-for-2 with four RBI, three runs scored, a walk and a stolen base, as Toryn Helle drove in two and earned the win inside the circle.
St. Edmond scored two in the first, four in the second, one in the third and five in the fourth, as 10 different batters scored runs.
Sophia Schlienz, Jade Rock, Breckyn Ulrich and Baylor Ulrich each had a hit and a run scored, with Baylor Ulrich adding an RBI. Breckyn Ulrich pitched a perfect inning, striking out one.
For the Jaguars (1-4), Addison Lundquist had a hit and an RBI. Karley Ray Smith and Goldie Davis both scored runs.
The Gaels are right back in action on Wednesday, hosting Hampton-Dumont/CAL in North Central Conference play. Southeast Valley is at Sioux Central that same night.
