ENID, Okla. — The Iowa Central baseball team once again staved off elimination at the NJCAA Div. II World Series.

The Tritons scored a 5-4 walk-off victory over Fredericksburg from David Allen Memorial Ballpark on Tuesday when Sawyer Stein drove in Mitch Seykora.

With the win, Iowa Central (52-11 overall) advances to face either Pearl River or Madison in another elimination game on Wednesday at 3 p.m.

Stein started off the game in a big way, hitting solo home runs in both the first and second innings. Between that, George McIntyre homered, putting the Tritons up early, 4-0.

Fredericksburg, who eliminated Monroe, battled back, tying it in the seventh before Stein’s heroics.

Stein finished 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs scored, as he was walked three times. McIntyre went 3-for-5 with two RBI, as Ben Jones and Sam Sejnoha each had two hits.

On the hill, Chase Reeder recorded five outs without allowing a hit or run, striking out three, as Sean Stewart earned the win with a perfect ninth.
