The Fort Dodge boys soccer team was attempting for a three-match win streak on Tuesday.
The Dodgers (2-5 overall) dropped a 3-1 decision to Mason City (2-4) inside Dodger Stadium.
“The guys have really been playing well,” said Fort Dodge head coach Nic Huse. “We got behind early and then fought back. That’s what I like about this team. If we get behind, they don’t quit and continue to fight.”
Conrad Greathouse scored the lone goal for the Dodgers. It was the first goal of the season for Greathouse.
The Dodgers have knocked off Waterloo East (5-1) and Storm Lake (2-1).
“We just have to continue to fight and do the little things right,” Huse said. “This team plays with a lot of grit and heart.”
Fort Dodge is back in action on Friday when they travel to Des Moines East. Action begins at 6 p.m.
