Full Swing Financial Planning of Fort Dodge is hosting its second annual “Full Swing Forward” race event at the Fort Dodge Country Club this Saturday.

There will be three divisions offered: a 5K run, a Kids 1K and a 1K walk. The kids’ races are at 9 a.m., with the 5K run at 9:30.

The 5K run is for participants ages 13 and older, and cost is $40 per entrant. The Kids 1K is for ages 7-12 and is $15 per person. The 1K walk is for all ages and is also $15 each.

All proceeds will go to the Fort Dodge Golf Academy and the Children’s Cancer Connection.

“We love bringing this event to our community,” said Baileigh Ashbrook, a co-founder, Chief Operating Officer and financial advisor at Full Swing Financial Planning. “It’s a chance to get people together at a great local venue, be active and create something positive.

“More than anything, it’s about using our time and energy to make an impact. Whether it’s supporting families through Cancer Connection or giving kids opportunities through the junior golf association, this event is our way of turning a simpler run into something bigger for the community.”

Online registration is available at www.raceroster.com under “Full Swing Forward.” In-person registration is also an option at 8 a.m. on Saturday. Card payments will not be accepted in person.

The description of the event notes that “whether you walk, jog or run, all ages and skill levels are welcome. Bring the whole family and help support two incredible causes right here in our community.”

The race will be entirely on grass.
