DES MOINES — The Fort Dodge boys tennis team secured the second win of the season here Tuesday night, sweeping Des Moines Hoover, 11-0.

Aidan Recker, Carson Huffman, Kyron McCrady, Easton Minkoff, Sawyer Evans and Jake Pingel picked up wins in singles for the Dodgers.

“All the kids played really, really well,” FDSH head coach Scott Messerly said. “They battled the heat throughout the meet. We had a number of kids step up with kids missing for musical practice. They were placed in different situations, but all really did a great job.

“It really was a total team effort.”

In doubles, Recker and Huffman, McCrady and Minkoff, Evans and Pingel, Jayden Stanley and Josh Beekman, and Kytrell Henderson and Marcus Johnson secured wins to complete the sweep.”

The Dodgers host Nevada and Boone on Monday.
