The Fort Dodge girls soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to Des Moines East here Friday night at Dodger Stadium.
Abby Hernandez tallied the lone Fort Dodge goal in the match. The senior has now scored four goals this year for the Dodgers, who honored seniors Hernandez, Eily Martinez, Aianna Kirby and Elvia Ramos.
The Scarlets earned their first win of the season after dropping matches to Des Moines Lincoln, Des Moines Roosevelt, Cedar Rapids Washington and Ottumwa by a combined score of 11-1.
Up next for the Dodgers will be Des Moines North back here on Tuesday night.
Fort Dodge boys fall on road at East
DES MOINES — The Fort Dodge boys soccer team fell to Des Moines East here Friday night at James W. Cownie Complex, 6-1.
Freshman Garrett Royster scored his second goal of the season for the Dodgers.
Fort Dodge remains on the road, heading back to Des Moines to face North on Tuesday at Grubb Stadium.
