Crooks is headed to Oklahoma State
Audi Crooks will remain in the Big 12 Conference.
Crooks, an all-stater from Bishop Garrigan, announced on social media late Sunday night that she has committed to the Oklahoma State University women’s basketball program.
The former Iowa State star’s announcement came in a video posted to her X account, which included Crooks in a Cowgirl uniform.
Crooks entered the transfer portal following another banner season as a junior at ISU. A three-time All-American, Crooks led the Cyclones to the NCAA Tournament and was the second leading scorer in NCAA Div. I women’s basketball this past year.
At Bishop Garrigan, Crooks was a four-time all-stater who helped the Golden Bears win back-to-back Class 1A state championships.
Crooks announced after the season she was entering the transfer portal for her final year of eligibility. She is the daughter of Michelle (Vitzthum) Cook, a former Garrigan star athlete, and the late Jimmie Crooks, who was a standout at Fort Dodge Senior High.
Oklahoma State was 24-10 overall and 12-6 in the Big 12 this past season. The Cowgirls have been busy this portal season, also signing Liv McGill (Florida transfer), L.A. Sneed (Utah), Nene Ndiaye (Rutgers), Ellie Brueggemann (Lindenwood) and Talexa Weeter, a Div. II All-American.
