Two IAC records for Dodger boys track
MASON CITY — The Fort Dodge boys track squad established two new meet records at the Iowa Alliance Conference Indoor championships here on Friday.
Dodger senior Noah Daniel set a new mark in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.94. Daniel was also on the sprint medley relay quartet — joining junior Jamarius Echols, junior Sam Moser and junior Jayce Point — that went an IAC-best 3:50.6.
Point took the 800-meter run in 2:08.2, and the 4×200-meter relay squad of Echols, Moser, Daniel and senior Taevon Feeley won as well with a time of 1:35.5.
Senior Dalton Eckley was second in the high jump at 5-10. Junior Kyree Rochon crossed fourth in the 200, while Will Jones ended up sixth in the same event.
Feeley grabbed a sixth in the long jump.
FDSH was fourth in the final team standings, behind Ames, Mason City and Des Moines Roosevelt. All 11 IAC squads from both the North and South Divisions competed.
The Dodgers officially open their season a week from today at Des Moines East.
