No. 13 Iowa Central puts up 98 points

COLUMBUS, Neb. — The 13th-ranked Iowa Central men got back in the win column with a convincing 98-77 victory over Central here Wednesday night.

The Tritons (21-6 overall, 13-5 in ICCAC) were red-hot from the 3-point line, sinking 12 triples, including eight from Jalen Wynter.

Wynter finished with 26 points, as Aleix Semperre had a double-double, scoring 14 points with 16 rebounds. Jordan Cain added 19 points, Tashun Pender had 16 and CJ Mitchell 12.

Mitchell also dished out nine assists, as Cain recorded three steals and three assists.

“It’s always nice to get wins in this conference on the road,” ICCC head coach Mason Denholm said. “We moved the ball well and defended pretty well.”

For Central, Tee Liban had 18.

Iowa Central returns home to host Iowa Lakes on Saturday inside Hodges Fieldhouse at 3 p.m.
