Triton women prevail at Anoka-Ramsey
WORTHINGTON, Minn. — The Iowa Central women capped off 2025 with a victory here on New Year’s Eve over No. 1 (Div. III) Anoka-Ramsey, prevailing by a final of 57-55.
Trista Ohlmeier led the Tritons (11-3 overall) with a double-double, helping them erase an early 11-point deficit.
“It was a gritty road victory,” ICCC head coach Graham McFall said. “We weathered the storm early and stepped up as a group. Everyone played a part in getting it done with quality balance on offense.”
Ohlmeier finished with 24 points and 10 rebounds, adding three steals and two blocked shots. Ashlin Jacobsen and MacKenna Bush each scored nine, as Amelia Echternkamp finished with eight.
Bush sank three 3-pointers and Izzy Bassett drained a pair of triples.
Iowa Central has scored four consecutive wins since a pair of ICCAC losses to ranked Iowa Lakes and Kirkwood. They return to the court on Saturday vs. Iowa Western inside Hodges Fieldhouse at 1 p.m.
