CRESTON — The fourth-ranked Iowa Central men rebounded from a first loss of the season, besting Southwestern here Saturday, 98-59.

After falling in a heartbreaker to No. 8 Kirkwood last Wednesday at home, the Tritons (12-1 overall, 4-1 in ICCAC) showed no signs of a letdown, scoring 48 points in the first half to gain control of the contest.

Tashun Pender scored 21 and Aleix Sempere had another double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Jordan Cain had 19, Dorian Pruitt 12 and Manny Lueth 10.

Iowa Central never trailed in the game and led by as many as 41.

The Tritons host Central on Wednesday in the final game of 2025.
