Hilton tabbed All-American
McKenna Hilton has been named an All-American.
The Iowa Central sophomore was selected by the NJCAA to the Div. II All American third team.
Hilton was one of seven players from the ICCAC named to the honor squads. Joining her in Div. II were Holly Poole and Amelie Prie of Iowa Lakes, with Poole making the second team and Prie the third alongside Hilton.
In Div. I, Iowa Western’s Honoka Nohara, Quinci Smith and Mariano Brito were named along with Arnikca Louis from Indian Hills. Nohara made the first, Louis the second and both Smith and Brito the third.
The reigning ICCAC player of the year for Div. II, Hilton scored 11 goals and tallied seven assists, finishing with 29 points for the Tritons.
A native of Ankeny who graduated from Ankeny Centennial, Hilton had two game winners for Iowa Central, finishing with 18 shots on goal on the season.
“McKenna is a tremendous player and this was a very deserving honor for her,” ICCC head coach Jordan Sibenaller said. “She was one of the best players in the ICCAC and the country.”
The Tritons went 11-6 this past year and 7-2 in the conference.
