Tritons host Region XI championships
The Iowa Central cross country teams hosted the Region XI championships on Friday at Lakeside Golf Course.
The Triton men finished second with 30 points, while Iowa Western was the champion with 26 points.
Iowa Central’s Soufyane Laaziz placed third in a time of 24:39.4. Chakib Cherkaoul Rha was fourth (24:46.4) and Said Rifi Lutfl (24:51.1) was fifth.
St. Edmond graduate Liam Shannon (28:42.8) was 25th for the Tritons.
The Triton women (50) placed third behind Iowa Western (27) and Indian Hills (48).
Iowa Central’s Hafsa Oukadou (18:25) was second. Abbigail Hutchinson (18:50.6) was fifth for Iowa Central.
Fort Dodge graduate Dari Cook placed 19th in a time of 22:21.9.
