The Fort Dodge football team moved up one spot to ninth in the latest Class 4A Associated Press poll.

Coming off a convincing 35-0 victory over Storm Lake, the Dodgers (6-1 overall) return home for the first time since Sept. 26 when they host Le Mars for Homecoming this Friday night.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

Sergeant Bluff-Luton, the lone team to defeat Fort Dodge this year, remained No. 3 in 4A behind Cedar Rapids Xavier and Gilbert.

Bishop Garrigan held firm at the top position in eight-player, as the Golden Bears enter the final week of the regular season 7-0. They got six of 10 first-place votes.

In 1A, Manson Northwest Webster is one spot out of the Top-10, checking in at No. 11 with five votes. Emmetsburg received three votes and is 12th.

Humboldt picked up two votes and is 14th in 3A.

The top squads remained the same in all classes in Waukee Northwest (5A), Cedar Rapids Xavier (4A), Clear Lake (3A), Carroll Kuemper (2A), Grundy Center (1A) and Saint Ansgar (A).
